What do you do when someones cologne litterally makes you sick?

I sit in the first seat on the bus becuase I get off first. She moved a boy behind me, and the noxious gas he calls cologne makes me sick! My nose gets instantly stuffy and my sinus area and head gets pressure in it. I talked to someone who is kinded to him and she said he mixes four colonges. I can’t take it anymore! What is the polite way to ask the bus driver to move him. I cannot be moved becuase I get off first so I have to sit there.
Thanks Red. I know they don’t CAUSE allergies, but they really set mine off. My mom has severe allegies and has to be on shots to control them and I inherited part of hers.

Smells don’t cause allergies, but they do trigger them. Speak quietly to the bus driver (alone) and tell her your problem. Be polite and understanding, but request that he be moved back a bit.

Fragrance can cause allergies to flare up. I have seen more than one person break out in hives because of someones fragrance. I would ask the bus driver to move him back far enough so that it dosnt bother you. Cologne is only supposed to be worn so that someone would have to get within 2 feet to be able to smell it. It is offensive when someone pours on the perfume when all they have to do to smell nice is take a bath!!!

Just say “I have allergies, and I’m really having a problem with where I’m sitting because of the strong scent of the cologne.”
If the guy’s relative said he mixes 4 colognes, the bus driver probably knows who you’re talking about, and can change the seating.
If you have to, bring a doctor’s note.
And drop every hint possible that mature, sophisticated guys who know what they’re doing wear SUBTLE scents.

I think your dilemma with your allergies is considered a health issue and you have a right to address it as such with the bus driver.
It would make more sense to move the guy with the strong “aroma”, than to expect you to be moved, since you get off the bus first.
Just be polite and stick to your allergy sensitivity issue when you speak with the driver. I would think they would understand.

Create a video blog…instantly.
I think YOU should be moved, not the boy. It is your problem and those around him don’t seem to be complaining, judging by your question. It’s ridiculous to think that it is written in stone that you MUST sit in the first seat because you get off first, that doesn’t hold water with me, at all.
What I do think is that you are sitting with friends and don’t want to change seats; but I do not see any reason this boy should be moved from his friends to be seated elsewhere.

Get your allergist to write you a note for the bus driver. I am sure that will convince him to move the boy. And I am sure your allergist would have no problem writing the note for you.
