How to remove the scent of cologne from your skin?

I accidently sprayed on too much cologne, and now I want to remove most or all of the scent from my skin. I tried rubbing the areas using a tissue with rubbing alcohol on it, but the scent persists. Help! How can I get this scent off me before my girlfriend shows up for our date?

   Soap and water – a complete shower is not necessary, just use a wet rag and soap. A change of clothes may help too.
