Only 1, my friend. More than one squirt and men’s cologne tends to be overpowering. Especially if a cheaper version of something. One is just enough to get noticed but not seem like you are trying too hard. I work with a guy who is from Colombia and does not understand he doesn’t have to take a bath in it. He wears good cologne, but the way it overpowers you can make you sick.
One. Spray it away from you and walk into the mist to avoid over using. A little goes a long way. Don’t be that guy that gags the rest of us from having half the bottle on.

That really depends on the strength of the cologne. A lot of cheap cologne may require a few, although good cologne just one or two will do.
It’s always really strong when you first apply it, so apply it a half hour or so before you head out so it sets a little.
You want the scent to be something that can be smelled when people are close to you rather than when you enter the room.
