Can anyone recommend a LIQUID fragrance okay for carpets that I can add to water in a steam machine?

Febreeze- I love it! It adds a nice clean smell and will definately mask any other odor the carpet might have. You can buy it by the gallon rather inexpensively, and there are frequently discount coupons for it available in the Sunday paper coupon book. Plus, any leftover Febreez can be put in a spray bottle and used on sofas or clothing to make them smell fresh.

There are a lot of Highly-concentrated odor eliminators on the market that are water soluble and can be used while cleaning carpets. Check with your local janitorial supply place. We purchase cases at a time and our customers love the different fragrances that are available. There are assorted fruit flavors, vanilla, coconut, fresh linen just to name a few.

essencial oils, just a tad works wonders. I use orange, lemon and lavender all the time. Find them at your health food store. a little goes a long way!

Go to a professional cleaning supply store and get a bottle of Spice-Air which is made by Bridgepoint. It is made for destroying urine and bacteria smells. It is also a natural deodorizer and smells wonderful!

adding a liquid fragrance could leave a residue, do u have pets or kids, possible allergic reaction, also will it damage the carpet in any way, like if u get to much on one spot will it fade or discolor it.. if u have heavy traffic areas or pet odor problems, try a foam carpet first. u r going to wet the carpet anyway. it’ll loosen dirt, freshen too before u steam clean

Febreeze is great to use on carpets straight. I use on a daily basis after vacuuming. It is safe for children and animals also.
